NOW AVAILABLE WITHOUT COPY PROTECTION


CHICAGO, (May 30, 1987) - Users of WRITER'S CHOICE, FILER'S CHOICE and 
PLANNER'S CHOICE,  three personal productivity programs by Personal Choice 
Software, will soon be able to make unlimited backup copies.  This summer, 
Personal Choice Software will release non-copyprotected versions of these 
programs, which can be purchased individually or together in THE PERSONAL 
CHOICE COLLECTION, for MS-DOS, Apple II and Commodore 64/128 computer systems.

"Our decision to remove copy protection from the utility programs was based on 
the large number of requests we received from consumers," said Paul Zuzelo, 
vice president in charge of productivity software at Activision.  "We feel it 
would be more convenient, and therefore a better service to our consumers if 
they could make their own back-up copies or be able to transfer the programs 
to their system's hard disks."

WRITER'S CHOICE is an easy-to-use word processing program that facilitates any 
kind of writing for home, school and small business.

FILER'S CHOICE is a data base program that assists in organizing records, 
inventories, calendars, lists and rosters.

PLANNER'S CHOICE is a spreadsheet program for home budgeting, tax planning, 
organizing statistical report data and financial review.

Once the updates are available, owners of any or all of these programs in  THE 
PERSONAL CHOICE COLLECTION  may obtain a non-copyprotected disk by submitting 
the front cover of each program manual and $5.00 for each disk to: Personal

WRITER'S CHOICE, FILER'S CHOICE AND PLANNER'S CHOICE  are currently available 
at a new low price of $39.95 for MS-DOS and Apple II versions and $34.95 for 
the Commodore 64/128 versions. THE PERSONAL CHOICE COLLECTION  now sells for 
$99.95 for the Commodore version.  All prices are suggested retail.
